Grow as you go
Our modular bioreactor systems are truly scalable, minimising costs and facility footprint, and giving you operational flexibility to ramp up production as demand grows, utilising our range of sizes to scale up, and adding more bioreactors to scale out.
04 / Technology
A seamless flow path
We carefully control media flow through the bioreactor to create a gentle, low-shear environment. This minimises stress on the cells and promotes efficient cell growth.
03 / Technology
Sustaining growth with fibre bundles
Each bioreactor is packed with these hollow fibres, providing a substantial surface area, ideal for hosting both adherent and suspension cells, providing a low-shear environment, and efficiently supplying nutrients to all cells.
Food production is costing us the earth
Food insecurity is at an all-time high, and current production is drastically depleting the planet’s resources.
With the global population growing, ensuring sustainable food supply is a critical challenge.
The global food system needs a rethink.
Sustainably feeding 10bn people by 2050…
To deliver global nutrition without using more land and increasing emissions we need a smarter, more sustainable toolbox of solutions.
Cultivated food is a vital one.
The technology and market appetite are there, but scalability, efficiency, and cost still stand in the way of widespread adoption.
Technology to replicate nature at scale
Our hollow fibre membrane technology, which mimics a vascular system, is making cultivated food production industrially scalable.
By supporting food industry innovation, our system helps meet global food demand sustainably and cost-effectively.
01 / Technology
Starting with the cells
Our process begins with seeding cells into our hollow fibre bioreactors. We are actively testing and validating the system with a wide range of cell types from various species, demonstrating its potential to be fully agnostic.
02 / Technology
Naturalistic nutrient flow
As we feed in culture media, the hollow fibres’ porous membranes allow for efficient, mass transfer of nutrients to the cells — just the same as a vascular system.
